I have been tested for B 12,glucose tolerance testing, thyroid etc. all Blood work ok!
My doctor (internist not my GI)actually said its not the PPI's, so I continued to take the meds for another 2 months after symptoms started!!
My GI finally said go off the entire class of drugs, and go on Zantac 600 mgs per day. This seemed to increase the side effects!! Zantac added itching all over.
It is very confusing as my white blood cell count was normal, ot elevated as you would think when fighting an infection.
My current doctor wants to try to eradicate possible H Pylori and prescribed Zertec for a possible allergic reaction.
I am amazed by their lack of ability to diagnose my symptoms. I have very little faith in any of my Dr's at this point.
