I had to get off of the Protonix because of the trembling -- that only happened at night. It was a trembling that was very hard to describe, and it felt worse than it looked. Although it wasn't stated as one of the side effects of the drug (not even in 1% of the population) my pharmacist called it an adverse reaction, said I should switch to another PPI and call the pharmaceutical company and tell them what happened. The trembling stopped when I got off of the drug.
