I'm *super-curious* about the relationship of Xanax, an anti-aniety medication to GERD? Truth is, I'm on a low dose of XANAX right now for anxiety due to 1) health concerns and 2)lots of stress going on at my house right now. I've had some of the symptoms mentioned on this post, and have not been dx'd yet. But when I get the lump in the throat feeling and "something sticking" in the back of my throat occasionally (which is when I freak!), the Xanax does almost entirely eliminate these symptoms. Of course, there is a high risk for dependency on this drug, so we all should use with caution. I'm pretty new to all of this, so, if anyone else has any info, I'd like to know as well. Just an aside....maybe it's me.....but are some people on this board using "zantac" and "xanax" interchangeably? Regards, Gail
