Nick,

Thank you so much for answering my questions. I am so terrified. No, I do not want to live this way for the rest of my life. It seems that after a year and a half, my swallowing problems are getting worse, not better. This is so strange. You were very courageous to have another surgery. I will continue to pray for your recovery. I feel like, at this point, I swallow, but stuff bounces (literally) right back up my throat again. Very wierd. I take it that the surgeon who did your redo is not the surgeon that did your original procedure. Did you have to go through all the testing again before your surgery? I had to do that at the Cleveland Clinic three weeks ago. What an ordeal that was. I so appreciate you getting back to me. I have spoken with two of Dr. Rice's resurgery patients and they are both satisfied. The man I spoke to had his done 6 months ago and his life is pretty much back to normal. The woman had hers done 6 weeks ago and is still recovering. She had many complications from her wrap surgery 4 years ago and her quality of life was pretty low. I will keep you posted about my decision and will continue to pray for you and check on your condition. Sorry for all the typos in my previous post to you...I think I posted very early in the morning.

Take care and happy swallowing, Francine
