I used to have lots of problems with burning (numbness?) and a lump in my throat before I had the fundo. I was also diagnosed with asthma for the first time in my life and seemed to have a constant post-nasal drip. When I had a sinus infection, I felt like my throat was closing up and I had trouble breathing. Any of this sound familiar? I did a lot of research before my surgery, and there is a definite connection between GERD and breathing problems. I could send you some of my many sites if you think it would help you.
