Hi Heidi,I had my surgery on Oct. 22,2001 and it was the best thing I could of done. I am 38 and had reflux for 4 years and the relief I now have is wonderful! I recovered very easy from the surgery.Spent 1 night in the hospital. when I came home I found it better to sleep on the sofe bed because it props up and takes the pressure off the chest. I took my pain meds. every 6 hrs and was very careful with what I ate. Just be sure to follow the Drs. orders. Good Luck and keep us posted. P.S. I wish I would of found this site before my surgery. I had so many questions afterwards and noone to answer them. I'm the only one I know who has had this surgery.
