I am a 50 year old female that was rushed to the hospital with severe chest pain that radiated through my upper back. After ruling out a heart attack and gallbladder problems, I was placed on Prevacid for what was felt to be acid reflux disease. The Prevacid seemed to help but while on this drug I started experiencing terrible low back pain that radiated down my legs. Can the Prevacid cause this pain? Is lower back pain a part of reflux disease? My doctor seemed unconcerned and felt I may have the flu in addition to the reflux disease but after four days I know I am not sick with the flu and the pain is still present?
