I was wondering what kind of side effects are "normal" with some of these PPI's. Nexium, gave my stomach that gnawing feeling so bad that I felt like I needed to eat constantly. Also made my esophagus spasms really intense. When I quit taking it & went back to Protonix they stopped. I do get this weird feeling in my head with the Protonix though. I think I saw someone on the board refer to it as "fog head" which is a pretty accurate description. Feel lightheaded & either end up with a headache or feel like I'm on the verge of one. I've decided to start taking it at night, instead of in the morning to see if that helps. Just curious if anyone else has this. Wondering if I should change meds. Jenny
