How long have you had it that bad? Mine was that bad for a few weeks. Then the PPIs finally kicked in so that it doesn't burn very often---but I still feel stuff coming up into my throat. Even this morning when I took my Protonix I felt the water come back up. But at least I don't burn very often anymore. I am on Protonix twice a day and Zantac before I go to bed. (Although I'm trying to wean myself off the 2nd Protonix; tired of taking pills) For me, I have to be careful not to do anything like bending over, squatting, or any exercise or activity that stirs things up---very limiting. Oh--and I haven't laid down for over 2 months. I also am beginning to wonder if anyone has ever really rid themselves of this condition without surgery.
