Hi Kelly,
Try doing some Medline searches through Pubmed of the medical literature. The URL is http://Pubmed.gov/ You may need to try different search terms depending on what results you get. For example, the word "fundoplication" may return LOTS of abtracts from articles. You may not want that many, so you may need to search on "Nissen fundoplication" or various other combinations with fundoplication. What you learn from Pubmed would be much more scientific than what you get here.
Fyi, I have a friend who had an open fundo over 25 years ago. He is still doing fine, and since he is fine, he has never visited this site. That could be a problem too--the people who have had good results are less likely to come here and post than those who are having problems. They come for help. Then there are a few like me, who keep visiting even though our fundos were successful.
