This is something that everyone obsesses over. By all means, read Melissa's resource.
I'm only 1.5 years out. A good friend of mine had her fundo 7-8 years ago (we have lost track of how long), and she is FINE. Never thinks about her GI system at all, can burp, vomit, eat to her heart's content. Most fundo cases are like this. (The problems are the ones who show up here.)
