I personally don't like to have tests unless there is a specific reason to do so. I had the motility test as part of assessing whether or not I was a good fundo candidate. I would NEVER advise anyone to have surgery without one, regardless of how much of any effort they think it will be. I really have no idea what other value it is. I'd ask my doctor if I were in your shoes. There might be a valid reason to have it regardless of whether you're better now or not.
