Came completely out of nowhere! I too was healthy and happy without ever having even a mild case of heartburn. Then at age 34 it all changed. I really miss my old life. I am going through the rounds of tests now to confirm the GERD diagnosis. I have no doubt I will get surgery if I am a candidate. This is miserable. --Rebecca
