Yep---out of the blue! I went to bed one night with this really weird pain/sensation under my left rib, then woke up with horrible heartburn an hour later. Things quickly escalated to horrible. It's been more than 2 months now, and I am starting to think I will have to live with this forever. Like everyone else, I'm starting with the tests, using the meds, etc. I was so active before all this, now I too can hardly bend over without bile coming into my throat. I am beginning to lose my physical fitness, because I can't exercise. I can't even do certain stretches I used to before walking. Yuck! I hope there will be an end to this. Good luck with yours.
