Hey there, I guess I am in less pain around the chest area, which perhaps from gb removal - I really don't know.. Fact is I am still having the very same problem I had back 16 months ago and it seems the only thing that has controlled it at all has been xanax which has worked on 3 occasions for a month or more, the last time with no gallbladder and a slightly higher dose .75. Xanax is a cck antagonist, and of course it controls anxiety, but specifically panic attacks. I don't really have panic attacks, altho I am a pretty nervous individual. This has made me even more nervous. ;) Anyhu, no i have not had the bile probe, but I know it is bile - it makes me feel nausea, and I will also get chills from it. It would appear that no gi doctor knows what to do with such a problem, so I am now getting help from my internist who is actually a doctor who cares about his patients ... As a whole I have found gis do not care about their patients. I have seen three. They are all indifferent. PPI does not work, they want no part of me.
I would like to prove this is bile, but the bilitec is expensive and it is not covered yet bec. not fda approved. I will only do this if none of these meds wind up helping me, but I believe eventually I will have success with it bec. it worked three times b4. Perhaps that is the only thing that has kept my sanity thru all this... When this happens to me during the night, it is when my stomach is empty of food. IT is a fasting problem. It is weird. I pray it will go away one day soon... thanks for your concern.
