The one time I had it with sedation, I was a mess the rest of that day, slept 10 hours, and didn't really feel normal until around noon the next day (which would have been around 26 hours, and they say not to drive for 24 hours afterward).
That's why I prefer to do them without drugs. You can talk to the doctor right after, and go back to work.
